IFM MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

You being a member of the Institute mean that you are part of the only organisation that truly represents physicists in the country. This is important as the institute is recognised in matters pertaining to physics and physics related areas, and you have a voice in it.

IFM MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY AND FEES

Anyone who have been educated as a physicist or in a physics related area in a manner satisfactory to the Council and have obtained a degree or its equivalent recognised by the Council.

AUTHORISED TITLES

The membership, classified according to your qualification and experience, earns you the use of the authorized titles:

1. Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Physics: FIPM
2. Ordinary Member of the Malaysian Institute of Physics: MIPM

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION

There shall be an Entrance fee of RM10.00 for the membership application. The annual subscription for each class of membership is as follows:

1. Fellow:   RM40.00
2. Ordinary member: RM30.00
3. Life member: RM400.00 (Fellow) and RM300.00 (Ordinary member)

Life membership can be applied in the second year of being an ordinary member.
