Back in November 2019, Institut Fizik Malaysia (IFM) hosted the 14th Asia-Pacific Physics Conference 2019 (APPC14) in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.The Conference was organized in cooperation with various Physics Departments in Malaysia. The scientific objective of the Conference is to provide a forum for interaction involving world-renowned researchers as to stimulate and enhance interest in Physics around the Asia Pacific region.

A total of 497 papers (include poster) was presented during the 4 days conference which included 14 Plenary Speakers (H. Mori, Y. K. Hwu, HW Yeom, T Xiang, B. Lembege, K. Midorikawa , J. G. Park, S. Mihara, K. Shibata, L . Chen, T. Nagae, Y. Mizuno, M. Mozetic and Y. S. Hor). The invited, contributed papers andposters by fields: ACG: 64, AMO: 19, Complex: 21, CM: 59, Plasma Physics: 87, NP:60, PP: 10, SCES: 34, OL: 22; SR: 17, Stat Phys: 12, Bio&Med: 21, PhysEd: 2, MHM: 12, WIP: 7; QI: 25, AOFSRR: 11.

More than 520 delegates from 20 countries and regions (Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia, India, Taiwan, Australia, USA, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Slovenia, Canada, Nepal, Myanmar, France, New Zealand, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Germany, Italy, UAE) attended the conference
