Abstract: 
The propagation of dust ion acoustic solitary waves (DIASWs) in a collisional dusty plasma with kappa distributed electrons is investigated. Applying the reductive perturbation technique (RPT), the deformed Korteweg-de Vries (dKdV) equation is derived for the propagation of weakly nonlinear DIASWs. Effect of the spectral index κ on the DIASWs is presented through numerical simulations. The spectral index κ plays a significant role on the excitation of the DIASWs.
