Abstract: 
The charge transfer (CT) process: p + H(1s)→ H(nlm)+ p , for arbitrary n under Lorentzian astrophysical plasma (LAP) environments has been investigated within the framework of a distorted wave approximation (DWA). Charge transfer cross section (CTCS) is reported as a function of the spectral index and plasma parameters for various incident proton energies. It is found that CTCSs get modified appreciably due to the effects of background plasma.
